Second funding phase in the Kraft-Copilot project: Improving self-care for young adult carers
A new chapter begins for the Kraft-Copilot project, which aims to support young adults who care for a loved one. After a successful first funding phase, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) The second funding phase has now been approved. The course has been set and the learning and networking platform to promote self-care among young adult carers is entering an exciting implementation phase.
Motivation:
Objectives and approach:
The researchers have set themselves the goal of developing a tailor-made learning and networking platform together with the young informal carers. This platform will use playful elements to initiate a process of self-reflection and provide individual support and learning opportunities. An intelligent system suggests offers that meet needs. The focus is on using the suggested offers and networking with other young carers in order to build a supportive care community. Thanks to the use of participatory research methods, the platform can be developed and implemented together with the young adult carers in order to promote their self-care in the best possible way.
Innovation and Perspectives:
Kraft-Copilot is much more than just a platform. It is a visionary initiative that aims to strengthen the self-care of young informal carers. Networking in care communities helps to promote their social participation and help them find balance between different areas of life. This project marks a significant step towards a future in which young carers receive the support and empowerment they deserve.
Outlook:
The second funding phase promises further exciting developments and progress for Kraft-Copilot. The project participants are ready to tackle the challenges with enthusiasm and commitment and create a platform that will sustainably improve the lives of young carers. We look forward to sharing the upcoming developments and are excited about the positive impact it will have on young adults with care responsibilities.
