The rapid reaction of educational providers, chambers and companies to offer training content online and thus avoid extensive delays in qualification processes shows the potential.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the relevant qualifications of teaching staff remain well below current and presumably future needs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_161\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-161\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-161 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/digitalfueralle.mz.tu-dresden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Lernmodul_Medienkritik-300x254.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digitalfueralle.codip.tu-dresden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Lernmodul_Medienkritik-300x254.png 300w, https:\/\/digitalfueralle.codip.tu-dresden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Lernmodul_Medienkritik.png 766w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-161\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenshot of the media criticism module<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With the offer \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ausbilderakademie-handwerk.de\/Projekte\/medienBAR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mediaBAR<\/a>\u201c the Chamber of Crafts Dresden, together with the Media Center of the TU Dresden, developed a practical basic qualification for dealing with digital media in training in 2017. medienBAR was a <a href=\"http:\/\/bmbf.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federal Ministry of Education and Research<\/a> funded project. The training staff should be enabled to use and learn with digital media, as well as to use digital media in educational contexts (vocational training).<\/p>\n<p>The following qualification objectives are based on the four dimensions of media competence according to Baacke (1997).<\/p>\n<p>Qualification objectives are now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to be able to operate digital applications yourself,<\/li>\n<li>to be able to evaluate and use digital applications for their suitability in the training process,<\/li>\n<li>to survey the media environment of the trainees and to react to it,<\/li>\n<li>To complete online self-learning courses in a self-organized and self-directed manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_160\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-160\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-160 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/digitalfueralle.mz.tu-dresden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Lernmodul_Medienkunde-300x258.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digitalfueralle.codip.tu-dresden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Lernmodul_Medienkunde-300x258.png 300w, https:\/\/digitalfueralle.codip.tu-dresden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Lernmodul_Medienkunde.png 751w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-160\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenshot of the quiz homepage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In order to enable intensive engagement with the content, the learning offer was also implemented in a blended learning format and supported by interactive self-study units on the qualification goals. The self-study learning modules take into account the prior knowledge of the individual and convey the necessary knowledge through texts, diagrams, audio commentaries and videos. The course concludes with a quiz to provide basic feedback on your own learning success.<\/p>\n<p>Communication in the online phases was encouraged through the use of wikis and forums within a learning management system.
